SEBASTOPOL
The Association, together with the Museum's Direction, took care of the planning, staging, promotion and tours of the exhibition "Il Piemonte tra i Grandi d'Europa - Sebastopoli - La Guerra di Crimea" (Piedmont among the great nations of Europe - Sebastopol - The Crimean War) which took place at the above-mentioned Museum from 31st January to 4th May, 1997. Meetings connected with historical subjects took place during its opening. At the opening and the conclusion cerimonies were organized with the presence of the national, regional and municipal authorities and of military units. The exhibition was visited by more than 15,000 people.


THEAKING ROUTE

Theaking route "Storia di una Cittadella" (History of a Citadel), was planned with the exact aim to awaken young people's interest tpwards the history of Piedmont, and it was realized exclusively with the exhibits of the "Museo Storico Nazionale di Artiglieria" (Historical National Museum of Artillery) of Turin. The exhibition was presented from December 1997 to March 1999 and more than 3,000 students of the Piedmont took part to this event together with their theachers. Furthermore these young people have participate to the second edition (1998) of the competition "Scopri il Museo di Artiglieria" (Discover the Artillery Museum) which was about the fortress fortified with bastion.


"GLI ALBERI DELLA MEMORIA" (The Trees of Memory)
The exhibition, with photos and exhibits, entitled "Gli Alberi della Memoria - Il Parco della Rimembranza di Torino, tra Storia, Arte e Natura" (The Trees of Memory - The War Memorial Park of Turin, through History, Art and Nature) was organized in cooperation with the "Associazione Piemonte Turistico" (Touristic Piedmont Association). The exhibition took place, from 12th April to 2nd May, 1999, at the "Museo Storico Nazionale di Artiglieria" (Historical National Museum of Artillery), subsidiary division situated in via Bologna 190, Turin. The exhibition was also linked to a competition called "Scopri il Museo" (Discover the Museum), third edition, whose target are the students of all the elementary, junior and senior secondary schools in Region Piedmont. The First World War 1915/1918 ended with the victory of Italy over Austria, and in the immediately following period, the City of Turin designated public administrators to the fore who were capable to think in a big way, bold entrepreneurs open to future, city dwellers proud of the industrial Turin became to the Nation's fore again and made the "Parco della Rimembranza" (War Memorial Park). The Park preserves the memory of 4,787 soldiers of Turin who were killed in the battle (every soldier has a tree) and it is a Arboretum, that is a collection of trees coming from various nations all over the world and it is a cultural destination with very scientific and teaching value.
